The chateau Rychnov nad Kněžnou, the youngest of the three Rychnov manors was founded by the house of Kolovrat. They have been and they are historically the only owners. The chateau was built in the early baroque style and it is a suitable destination for family trips, however it will satisfy most visitors.

The artillery fort Hanička is one of the five finished constructions coming from the pre-war period. It is situated in the Eagle Mountains (Orlické hory), close to the town Rokytnice v Orl. h. and the village Bartošovice v Orl. h. At the moment it is open to the public and operated as a museum.

nunnery and the pilgrim place. The Mountain of Our Lady near Králíky can be reached along the old pilgrim path, 1,5 km long, lined with lime trees. At the start of the path in Králíky there is a Baroque gate and along the lime-lined path there are 8 Baroque chaples from 1706. At the top of the mountain, overlooking the countryside and visible from all sides there is a Baroque church with cloisters from 1700. Next to the church there is a Pilgrimage House
(reconstructed in 1902 and again 1993) serving pilgrims and all people looking for rest and peace in soul. The solemnity, tranquillity and seclusion from the rush of the world, as well as the view of the beautiful countryside around, all this brings high spirits and sooth you in its special way. The summer is beautiful but cool and the winter is sublime here.

Hradiska is about 4,5 km long wooded valley with the meander stream of the Orličkovský brook. There are nice views from the rocky tops of the hills of the valley meadows abiding in rare plants (snowflake, iris) and animals (dark stork and kingfisher etc.) It is an important resting and walking zone. The whole area is widely visited by locals who take walks and make trips there. In the part adjacent to the town the valley is lined with numerous rocks. There are picturesque views from the tops of the rocks of the valleys Hradisko and Jamenská dola. The area is crossed by the so-called Jirásek´s path (Jiráskova stezka) built in the past and leading along the mountain ranges of the Eagle Mountains as far as the town of Náchod.

The sight unique in Central Europe can be found near the nearly destroyed castle Dřel close to the village of Malá Lhota, north-west of Choceň. If you are close to Ústí, the place is defintely worth visiting! The pilgramage centre of Homol, the early Baroque construction was founded in 1692 by the countess Terezie Eleonora from Ugarte. The Church of the Virgin Mary with the staircase was built in 1692-1696. The staircase is a unique European landmark. In 1703 two chapels were constructed in front of the face of the building. In the second half of the 18th century the steps were decorated with sculptures and vases.

The cottage is built at the Kozlovský hill at 601 m above sea level in a beautiful and ecologically clean environment. The observation tower provides views of the Eagle Mountains and sometimes it is posssible to see the panorama of the Giant Mountains and the Jeseníky Mountains. Close and a little more distant surrounding areas are perfect for hiking and cycling tours. In winter one can follow well-maintained cross-country ski paths that will satisfy also demanding sportsmen.

Originally a royal castle, the Lanšperk castle used to belong among strategically important castles in the Ústí region. Since the 16th century it has been gradually dillapidating and now it is in the condition of a ruin.

The physiotherapy institution in Brandýs nad Orlicí is a facility with a long-term tradition providing spa and physiotherapy treatment.

Like any other castle, the Litice castle has experienced the time of fame and the time of decline. The present ruins that used to be a majestic fort rise on the wooded hill point over the menader of the Divoká Orlicí.

dating back to 1935-38, the artillery cabin K - S 14 U. The millitary museum of the artillery cabin offers the exhibition of the Czechoslovak fortification system.

The Museum of Toys can be found in the city hall building in the Rychnov Old Square. The intention of the museum is to show the life of children in the period of 1880-1960. There is a comprehensive collection of dolls with porceclain heads, celluloid dolls, doll houses with the original doll furniture, books from the 30s, prams from the 40s to 60s of the last century. The display is completed with photographs of that period and a functioning steam machine.

Vamberk has been connected with bonelace for about 400 years and in the past it became the centre of lace production in the Eagle Mountains. In 1889 the town of Vamberk opened a lace school that has educated up to now generations of good lace-makers. When booking in advance it is possible to arrange a demonstration of lace making.

Visit the Museum of crafts in Letohrad in Eastern Bohemia and you can travel in time and return to the times of our grandfathers and recall some crafts that has been in many cases already forgotten.

The Nature Park of Lanškroun ponds is crossed by a nature trail with eight stops informing on the flora and fauna of the adjacent wetlands and water areas.

The path is suitable for hiking and cycling. It is 16 km long and crosses the nature park Orlice. The nature park Orlice was declared in 1996 to protect the bottomland of the Orlice and its tributaries. This large area covers over 11000 ha and includes the bottomlands of the Divoká and Tichá Orlice and after the confluence near Týniště nad Orlicí.

The exhibition includes the comprehensive collection containing representatives of 255 bird species. There are 700 preserved exhibits. The collection is the life-long work of Karel Plachetka.

The Potštejn castle can be found in the village of the same name. The origins of the castle date back to the 13th century.

The Pastviny dam was built on the upper Divoká Orlice river in 1933 -1938. The lake is about 7 km long and its surface is 110 ha. The dam dyke with a water power plant is 43 m high and 193 m long. There is a beautiful view of the equalizing reservoir Nekoř and the water surface of the dam. In summer people enjoying bathing, water skiing, diving and fishing love to come and make use of the facilities. The environs of the Pastviny dam provide many possibilities for hiking and cycling. The village of Pastviny operates a ski–lift in winter and there are well-prepared tracks for cross-country skiers.

The nature park Peliny was declared for the territory of 3 ha in 1948 to protect the bottomlands of the Tichá Orlice, rich scree woodlands and beechwoods. The park and the nature path Peliny are situated quite close to the town centre of Choceň in its north-east edge. Geomorfologically it is a very interesting arenaceous rock formation above the right bank of the Tichá Orlice. Huge rocks reach up to 35 m and they are up to 40 m wide at certain places.

The starting point of the visit to the sensory instructive path through the valley of the Skuhrovský potok is the town of Česká Třebová. You can check your senses while taking tests at a smelling stand, dendrophone, swings and touch path. You will see the skyline of the Eagle mountains, discover totems, rocks and springs. The path is open the whole year for hikers, bikers and skiers and a large part also for people on wheelchairs. You can have a snack in the restaurant Nad Hrází that is open throughout the year.

The nature reserve Toulovcovy Maštale belongs to the most beautiful and picturesque parts of the Pardubice region. There is beautiful nature that has not been spoilt yet by the civilisation. You can find sand rock formations and the area is interwoven by tourist and cycling paths.

The artillery fortress Bouda is at the moment the biggest museum of the Czechoslovak permanent fortification on the territory of the Czech Republic. The museum is situated inside the fortress which was a part of the permanent fortification built in 1935-38.

The park is a state listed area . It was established in 1820 - 1830 by the count Marcolini - Feretti. The Baroque Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk with the pentagonal ground plan overlooks the park and there is a lime-lined avenue leading to the chapel. It was built during the reign of House of Bred in 1734 – 1736. An orangery has been built at the edge of the park where also the oldest bonsai in Europe used to be grown.

The Častolovice Castle, the seat of the House of Oppersdorf , later also the House of Sternberg, who own the place now, is a worthy Rennaissance construction. The architecture of the castle and the adjacent park is enriched with exceptionally valuable interiors, which altogether makes Častolovice a remarkable place.

Rennaissance-baroque castle in Doudleby nad Orlicí, a family seat of Bubnove from Litice is a tourist attraction. The reason why it is so are: good condition of the building, unique sgraffito decoration of the façade, rich stucco, interior wall paintings and last but not least the installed exposition. The castle park just calls for a walk.

The Litomyšl Castle, is national cultural monument, listed by UNESCO, it belongs to the constructions offering everything that makes it a top tourist attraction.: long history, magnificent architecture and it is linked to a personality of the worldwide importance.
Already at the time of the Slavnik dynasty, there used to be a fortified settlement and it is believed that the first Christian church in Bohemia consecrated by the two missionaries of Christianity, Cyril and Methodius was situated there,. In the 16th century the family of Perstejn built a magnificent castle in Litomyšl representing the finest piece of Rennaissance architecture in the Czech Republic. Finally in 1824 Bedřich Smetana, the famous Czech music composer, was born here in the castle brewery.

is a Rococo construction built in 1774–1777 by the Count Jeanem-Antoinem Harbuval de Chamaré in the style of French summer palaces, very often called also "Little Schönbrunn" or "Czech Versailles". The Chateau Nové Hrady near Skuteč includes an entrance gate and French garden with administrative buildings, granary and an English park with sand rock Stations of the Cross (1767), leading to the remains of the original Gothic park.

is a protected natural sight and a favorite trip destination. „Zemská brána“ is a name given to a rocky section of the Divoká Orlice river cutting the decreasing mountain range of the Eagle Mountains and it can be found under the village Čihák.

Over time four residence constructions have been built in the village of Žampach. The castle is definitely the most important one, unfortunately is has not been preserved up to now and it is a ruin. However, a walk through the surrounding countryside together with an ascend to the hill with the ruins of the Žampach castle can be recommended
